Bon Voyage Christian Beamish!

My old friend, Chris Beamish, is setting sail today from San Diego in his 18′ homemade wooden boat for a four to five month surfing-sailing-fishing adventure. He will be soloing his boat, The Cormorant, along the Pacific coast to the southern tip of Baja, and then up into the Sea of Cortez. An amazing guy on an amazing adventure. Best wishes and Good Luck CB!

2/10/09 – Update… Received an email from David Bury who met Chris south of
Faro San Jose at Punta Cochilla. Chris’s next major destination was going
to be Isla Cedros where he could stock up on provisions. He was hoping to
make the 65 mile crossing out to Cedros around Feb 13-15, but the weather
may delay that. David emailed me some more photos which are below.
